Valentine (vocals, keyboards) has worked with
musicians such as, the late Richard Calandra (Spyro Gyra), Gurf Morlix
(Lucinda Williams), and producer Chris Brown (Paul Winter Consort).
Singer/songwriter Valentine has led several of his original blues/rock bands
and contributed as keyboard/vocalist with various musical organizations
working the northeastern part of the United States. As an opening act in
places such as, Atlantic City, he has shared the stage with such artists as
Al Dimeola, Average White Band, Gary Burton, Hugh Mesakela, Janis Ian, Betty
Carter, and many more.
Released solo CD, Walkin’ Shoes in late 1999.
Guests include guitarist Greg Paul (Leer Records) and guitarist Joe Stasio
(Blue Star Records). Valentine performed all vocals and other instruments.
Instrumental CD’s, Other Worlds and Other Worlds 2, focus on
film score, sound design and smooth jazz. Boston great, Jon Finn lends his
guitar magic on "Beyond The Milky Way". Currently, 2003 CD release,
Better Days, features the Valentine Project and a compilation CD
Thief Of Hearts, which features Valentine’s collaboration with other
artists. The listener will enjoy all styles of music blended
throughout Valentine's tunes, from blues to reggae, from tender ballads to
pop.
Valentine's production music has been featured on
numerous television shows, network sports events and in films. Most notable
are Mad About You, Today Show, Unsolved Mysteries, 60 Minutes, NFL Football,
20/20, NBC Movie Of The Week, CBS Tuesday Night Movie, ABC Wide World Of
Sports and Grumpy Old Men.
Valentine has developed and manages the music related computer software,
Drumtrax. As a third-party software company, Vamtech Enterprises, Inc., he
has negotiated promotional campaigns with many major MIDI-related software
and hardware companies such as Cakewalk Music Software, Mark of the Unicorn,
Opcode Systems, Alesis Corporation, Passport Designs, Kurzweil, and Korg.
