DRUMTRAX .SET FILES
FOR DRUMTRAX 3.0 CUSTOMERS USING CAKEWALK OR SONAR
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The Drumtrax Librarian will launch a Drumtrax SMF by the "Open" command of a MIDI sequencer.  Since Twelve Tone has redesigned the "OPEN" command, specifically with Cakewalk and SONAR where, the Drumtrax Librarian executes the first launch command, but balks at additional attempts.  This is due to the "project" aspect where, when you use the open command in Cakewalk the project step intercedes looking for a specific template to use.

This free update includes a file called "Drumtrax_SETS.zip".  Unzip the file to a convenient location (you may want to use the open command in Cakewalk to view the default folder location) If you need WINZIP (it's free) to unzip the download go here:.
http://www.winzip.com/winzip/download.htm

Open the Drumtrax_SETS folder to view the contents.
There are two folders of .SET files:

TYPE_0 Sets - these will open type 0 Drumtrax MIDI files.  They appear on one track defaulting to MIDI channel 10.

TYPE_1 Sets -  These will open type 1 Drumtrax MIDI files.  Each note appears on a separate track, each defaulting to MIDI channel 10.

Documents included:

Library_index.txt - A text file that shows the Drumtrax Librarian description for each Drumtrax MIDI file.

Readme.txt - basic info and license

Register.txt

HOW TO USE THE .SET FILES

The Drumtrax .SET files for Cakewalk/SONAR will only work under these conditions:

You need to use the "open" command in the File menu of Cakewalk/SONAR.  These Set files are Playlists where you can click on any given file and it will open in Cakewalk/SONAR.  The _Drumtrax.set file includes all the category overview files (ex. JAZ_CAT.MID) and the ToolBox files.

Again, the Drumtrax_SETS folder can be placed anywhere on your hard drive, but the original Drumtrax folder MUST be at C:\Drumtrax for the .Set (Playlist) files to work.  The path must be exact.  The Playlist Window in Cakewalk has a icon with c:\ on it.  You can view the complete path by clicking on it.

That's it! - download here:
