VAMTECH is a leading developer of
third-party
music related computer software. Founded in 1990 as dba Drumtrax, our
first
product sold as a collection of MIDI drum patterns, one of the first of
it's kind in the marketplace. The development of Drumtrax came about
from
dealing with a wide variety of musical situations in the MIDI recording
studio environment. Creating drum parts for a particular musical
arrangement
in several settings was often consuming valuable studio time. Music
sequencing
programs provided few viable options when it came to drum parts- play
them
yourself, hire a drummer, or use drum patterns. The problem with the
latter
was that what usually resulted were choices of either short phrases of
different styles with little variation or good-sounding drum solos, but
offering little support for creative song writing.
In 1996 dba Drumtrax incorporated as
VAMTECH
Enterprises, Inc. Inspired to better implement the groove into MIDI our
product has grown from a collection of drum patterns to a comprehensive
library. As a third-party software company we have had the pleasure of
posting our Drumtrax Library demos with many major MIDI-related
software
and hardware companies such as Cakewalk Music Software, Mark of the
Unicorn,
Opcode Systems, Alesis Corporation, Passport Designs, Kurzweil, and
Korg.
